All About Violet!
I was created in 2015 by an artist and mom named Kelly Anderson. She has a daughter named Olivia. Kelly started to draw me during a kinda tough time in her life. When I arrived on her drawing pad, she says I gave her some peace and a little bit of wisdom during a difficult time.
She started to call me
​
Violet Oleander Rose, her "Voice of Reason."
​
Slowly, she started to show me off and other people kinda liked me too. Some of her friends liked me so much they said we should all do a children's book together.
Did you know I have a
dog named "Prince," a parakeet named "Hollis" and a kitty named "Wheeler?"

Kelly and Olivia Anderson are a mother/ daughter team and the creators of

​
Kelly Anderson has a degree in Drawing and Painting from the University of Georgia ('97). She also has been teaching health and exercise since 2006.
Olivia is a fun-loving 7th grader. Her favorite subjects are History and English and she loooves dancing and Taylor Swift!
In 2015, Kelly started doodling the character and over time, Violet started to create some interest. Eventually, requests for a character book started to come in. In August 2022, Kelly and Olivia made the decision to put Violet in print. Olivia wrote the story and Kelly began illustrating.

Violet is a precocious, silly, quirky, sometimes clumsy little girl who is always getting back up and trying her best. She loves to be healthy and vibrant and always offers a little quirky wisdom along the way.

She is always seen with her tag-alongs, Hollis -the parakeet, Prince - her dog and Wheeler - her cat!

Kelly and Olivia live on Saint Simons Island in Georgia, USA. They have a crazy red-heeler dog named Simon and sassy fat cat named Smokey.
